Hovie Designs New Menus for Rays Boathouse Restaurant
SEATTLE, WA - 4/23/09 - Seattle graphic design firm, Design Hovie Studios, Inc., has designed the new menus for historic Seattle restaurant Rays Boathouse. Rays, opened in 1945 as a dockside cafe, has evolved over the years into one of Seattle's must-visit restaurants with a majestic view and an international reputation for great seafood and wine.
Design Hovie Studios worked the the Rays marketing team to create stylish and sophisticated menus that included just the right amount of punch. The exterior material of the menus has subtle, metallic flecks that glimmer when the light hits them. The Rays logo is foil stamped in a multi-color silver that has just the right amount of color. The interior is a highly stylized shell motif that give the piece color upon opening.
The entire project was a 3 month process designed in Seattle under the Creative Direction of Hovie Hawk.
