Located on the scenic waterfront in the Ballard district of Seattle, the Ray's restaurants (Boathouse, Catering, and Cafe) have served the region since 1945.
Hovie created a brand that modernized the Ray's image without straying too far from its roots. This was something highly desired by the well established company located in one of the most rapidly changing and vibrant areas in Seattle. The new brand also helped to unify all of the establishments under one umbrella by emphasizing the Ray's name, the corporation that oversees the operations of the various companies.
The entire project was a 3 month process designed by Creative Director Hovie Hawk along with Ray's Marketing.
