Hovie Creates New Brand Identity and Collateral for Hook & Ladder Printing Co.

SEATTLE, WA - 04/11/07 - Seattle graphic design firm, Design Hovie Studios, Inc., has designed the new brand identity and collateral for Hook & Ladder Printing Co. The original greeting card, chocolate bar company, Hook & Ladder creates hand made, custom wrapping and packaging for various applications including the wrapping of their signature product, fine Belgian chocolate bars.

The new brand showcases the playful yet elegant logotype in a warm, chocolate rectangle reminiscent of the chocolate bars the company is known for. Collateral pieces are printed on fine papers and include embossing for added sophistication and enhanced sense of touch.

The entire project was a 2 month process designed by Senior Designer Jeni Mattson under the direction of Creative Director Hovie Hawk.

Founded in 1998 by Creative Director Hovie Hawk, the studio has operated out of both Seattle and Milan, Italy.
