10. Inballard.com
The Seattle neighborhood of Ballard needed to shake its long-standing image as a quiet place full of retired Scandinavians. New chic boutiques and night spots were opening up weekly on Ballard's main avenue selling everything from fine wine, to designer home goods, but nobody knew they were there. The word had to get out.

Hovie achieved this by targeting the multitude of dot commers in the Seattle area with a web site promoting Ballard's new businesses. Bright colors and fun photography sent out the message that Ballard was new and vibrant. Posters, point of purchase displays, and print advertising, all aid in directing the public to this new Ballard resource.
