Arcade Magazine is an architecture and design publication distributed in Oregon, Washington and British Columbia. The magazine design presents some interesting challenges as it is a 2 color, cold web press, production. The publishers of Arcade came to Design Hovie Studios looking to increase their shelf visability while displaying a progressive modern feel.

Design Hovie Studios accomplished this by designing a complex grid system that gave the magazine structure that was not too staid. In addition, the Studio chose to forgo the publication's traditional muted tones, and replaced them with bright, bold colors.
