Hovie Creates New Brand Identity and Papers for Coastal Transportation

SEATTLE, WA - 11/19/08 - Seattle graphic design firm, Design Hovie Studios, Inc., has designed the new brand identity and business papers for Coastal Transportation. Coastal Transportation is a U.S. flag marine transportation company offering scheduled, palletized cargo service between Seattle and Western Alaska, including the Aleutian Islands and Alaska Peninsula.

The new brand modernizes the old Coastal logo that had been in use since the early 1980s, and showcases an iconic ship within a "C" letterform shown in their well known "Coastal Blue" color. The papers are clean and organized reflecting the company's approach to shipping and schedules.

The entire project was a 3 month process designed and illustrated by Creative Director Hovie Hawk and designer Aaron Shepherd.
