Ballard SeafoodFest
The Seattle neighborhood of Ballard has long been a home to the commercial fishing community. Because of this, one of the area's largest events each year is SeafoodFest. The event sponsors came to Design Hovie Studios wanting a look that showed both Ballard's history, as well as its current progressive nature.
Design Hovie Studios accomplished this by using a turn of the century photo of a child next to a large salmon, overlayed with bright, bold type and color. As well, the Studio came up with the slogan "I Ate a Big Fish in Ballard" and used it on t-shirts, buttons, and signage throughout the festival.
